Short Story
The film is lifted from the novel by Frank Miller. Tells the story of ancient battle of Thermopylae in the sixth century, in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 soldiers, struggled against Xerxes and the Persian army of several thousand. An envoy from the King of Persia when it came to Sparta to ask for willingness to surrender and submit to Sparta. King of Sparta immediately rejected the offer and stated that he and his people will not give up without a fight.
But the attitude of King Leonidas is not fully supported by representatives of the people and even his gods. King Leonidas finally decided to head off the Persian army with 300 Spartan soldiers of choice. 300 Spartan troops into the calm face of the enemy is so very much that, day after day they spent with their fighting spirit to defend their territory.
