Story Line
Evan Baxter (Steve Carrel) is a former TV news anchor. He moved from his hometown of Buffalo to the suburbs of Virginia. This is done Evan as he was elected a member of Congress. One day, Evan is visited by God (Morgan Freeman) who appeared before him. The Lord said to Evan, if the world will be hit by major floods, and Evan told to make a rescue boat.
When Evan know about the flood gave them to his family, none of his family members who believe. His family would think that Evan suffered a crisis of identity. The more unlucky for Evan because he was suspended by Congressman Long (John Goodman). Penalties are incurred because Evan is always followed by a collection of animals, even when the office. Evan own family then went to his grandmother's house, and let Evan build his own boat.
